AI agents are getting incredibly smart. They can write code, handle customer service, and execute complex workflows. But they have a major flaw: they have a very short memory.

Every time you open a new chat or trigger a fresh session, your AI essentially wakes up with amnesia.

That is why AI memory is the next major frontier. The global AI agents market is on track to reach nearly $300 billion by 2035. An autonomous agent is only as good as what it can remember.

The Old Way: Until recently, AI handled memory in ways that caused issues:

➡️Enterprise systems will enable customer service agents to remember a client’s complaint from weeks ago across text, phone, and email.

➡️Better efficiency will allow software to search an organized memory graph instead of paying high computing costs to re-read everything.

The first phase of the AI boom was about making AI smart. The next phase is about making AI remember. The real shift is happening in the infrastructure that allows these systems to retain information over time.
