A CITY COUNCIL IN IOWA JUST OPENED ITS MEETING WITH A PRAYER TO SATAN, AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I EVEN HAVE TO TYPE THAT.

The invocation at the Ottumwa city council meeting reportedly ended with the words "Hail Satan."

This is a small town in the heartland, not some coastal college campus.

When a community starts letting the devil lead off its public meetings, something has gone badly wrong with the people running the show.

Ottumwa residents deserve answers about how this got on the agenda and who signed off on it.

Pray for that town today, because they clearly need it more than ever 🙏

🔊Church: TOMORROW, Friday, begins the Feast of Tabernacles — while the nations are literally ALL gathered— and once again: Israel, JERUSALEM, and “PEACE AND SECURITY” are at the center of the international focus! 👆🏼FIRST — Let’s go back and take a look at Atonement (Yom Kippur), because it was OFF THE CHARTS!

Just before Yom Kippur, approximately 150K worshippers packed the Western Wall and surrounding Old City for the final night of prayers of repentance and forgiveness — one of the LARGEST, if not THE LARGEST, reported single-night "Selichot" gatherings in modern records, surpassing the 100K crowds reported in several previous peak years.

💡Think about that picture: 150,000 people gathered in JERUSALEM in repentance, praying for forgiveness as Israel entered the Day of Atonement — including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, along with Israel’s chief rabbis and former hostages! And throughout this year’s season of repentance leading up to Yom Kippur, nearly TWO MILLION worshippers came to the Western Wall to pray.

🔥There is no doubt that Israel is in revival mode, awaiting her Messiah — Scripture tells us that one day, during the seven-year Tribulation, they will finally look upon the One they pierced, recognize their Messiah, and be saved!!!

📖 “And they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son.” Zech 12:10

And we know His name: JESUS CHRIST!!!

⛪For the Church, OUR Atonement is already complete. Our Great High Priest entered the Most Holy Place “with His own blood... ONCE for ALL, having obtained eternal redemption.” Heb 9:12

Only days later: ATONEMENT → TABERNACLES... and JERUSALEM is once again before the gathered nations!!!

🌎 LET'S LOOK AT WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING AT THE UNITED NATIONS

The UN General Assembly's General Debate opened this past Tuesday, September 22, right after Yom Kippur — bringing world leaders from across the earth together in New York. And once again, ISRAEL, JERUSALEM, THE LAND, and PEACE AND SECURITY are part of the international focus.

👉🏼The two-state solution has been discussed at the UN for decades, but 2025 and 2026 have brought dedicated HIGH-LEVEL meetings specifically focused on moving it forward. And the General Debate continues through September 28 — meaning the nations will still be gathered when TABERNACLES begins!

🗓️September 17:
The UN General Assembly voted 152–3 on a resolution concerning Palestinian participation in the session. Only ISRAEL, THE UNITED STATES and PARAGUAY voted against it — an overwhelming show of international support for Palestinian participation at the UN.

🗓️September 21:
The eight Arab/Islamic countries met separately in New York. Their statement called for a sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital and discussed implementation of the Gaza Comprehensive Plan — a U.S.-backed plan to end the war in Gaza, decide who will govern Gaza afterward, rebuild it, and work toward a broader peace deal in the region.

🗓️September 22:
Canada, France, Saudi Arabia and the UK convened a High-Level Meeting on the Two-State Solution. This is where António Guterres explicitly called for two states, saying:

🎙️“Two independent, sovereign and democratic States, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security” — based on pre-1967 lines, “with Jerusalem as the capital of both States.”

⚠️Language: JERUSALEM. THE LAND. TWO STATES. PEACE AND SECURITY.

And for us watching Scripture, how can we ignore these verses??

📖 “For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them...” 1 Thess 5:3

And then this:

📖 “I will also gather all nations... on account of My people, My heritage Israel... they have also divided up My land.” Joel 3:2

And now look at where we are on God's calendar...

🛖TOMORROW — TABERNACLES!

Five days after Yom Kippur comes Sukkot — the Feast of Tabernacles. For seven days Israel dwells in temporary booths, remembering how God caused the children of Israel to dwell in booths after bringing them out of Egypt — a beautiful picture of dependence upon God's provision and presence.

💡And think about the picture TODAY:
Israel — surrounded by war and threats — is about to step into fragile, temporary booths and remember a time when they had no walls, no army, no Iron Dome... only GOD protecting and providing for them in the wilderness. (And one day, Ezekiel 38 tells us, GOD HIMSELF will intervene to defend Israel again!)

📖 “You shall dwell in booths for seven days... that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt.” Lev 23:42–43

🔥BUT THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE INCREDIBLE ABOUT TABERNACLES!

Solomon dedicated the FIRST TEMPLE during the Feast of Tabernacles! All Israel gathered in Jerusalem for the feast, the Ark of the Covenant was brought into the Temple — and then THE GLORY OF THE LORD FILLED THE TEMPLE so powerfully that the priests could not even continue ministering!

📖 “And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD.” 1 Kings 8:10–11

And then this happened:

📖 “When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the temple.” 2 Chro 7:1

💡Think about this: during TABERNACLES — the feast that remembers God dwelling with His people — God's GLORY filled Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem!

(Hint: Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit already filled but still awaiting the redemption of our bodies!)

👑AND THAT MAKES WHAT ZECHARIAH TELLS US ABOUT THE FUTURE EVEN MORE INCREDIBLE...

Zechariah tells us that a day is coming when the nations that came AGAINST JERUSALEM will NOT have the final word,

BUT THE KING OF KINGS WILL!

📖 “And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.” Zech 14:16

👉🏼After the Lord intervenes, those REMAINING from those nations (and I can’t help but wonder who will remain from all these nations!) will go UP TO JERUSALEM year after year TO WORSHIP THE KING!

🔊Church: LOOK AT THE PICTURE THIS WEEK! We have moved from: TRUMPETS → ATONEMENT → TABERNACLES. An extraordinary 150,000 people — one of the largest single-night crowds ever reported — gathered at the Western Wall in JERUSALEM to seek God, repent, and pray for forgiveness! They are longing for the MESSIAH!!!

Days later, the nations are gathered — discussing and condemning Israel, debating the division of the land, and speaking of PEACE AND SECURITY. And now TABERNACLES BEGINS — the very feast Zechariah tells us the nations will one day go up to Jerusalem to celebrate WITH THE KING!

What an incredible reversal!!!

One day, the nations will no longer gather to debate Jerusalem’s future — they will go UP TO JERUSALEM to worship THE KING OF KINGS!!! And WE, His Church, will be WITH HIM as He sits on His throne and reigns over the nations from the very city they are trying to divide and condemn today: JERUSALEM....And GOD WILL DWELL WITH HIS PEOPLE FOREVER!!!!!!! KEEP PRAYING, KEEP PREACHING THE GOSPEL, AND KEEP LOOKING UP!
