@GabbbarSingh The people who post this forget that in the US, people clock in at 9, take a break at 12, and leave by 5 p.m. Also, during working hours they are completely focused and drained by 5 p.m.
@ISeeUOSINT@Osint613 0.5% wasn't felt too hard till now. But with the Strait of Hormuz closed, the world will feel this crunch unless, by an act of God, Venezuelan oil starts pumping more crude into the market.
Write off the US at your own peril. This war has not ended. Yes, the Iranians have inflicted lot of damage and never before have the Americans found themselves so badly hit in the last few decades. Their bases have been attacked, their embassies hit, their aircraft taken down (even if on ground), they have been left unable to defend their Gulf allies, and the US reputation has certainly been tarnished by these losses.
But what about the damage in Iran? How will Iran recover from the damage inflicted on it? The regime, even if it survives, as it might well, will have to provide for the people who were already restive because of economic difficulties. These problems arent going to disappear even if the war ends tonight. Will the other Gulf states targeted by Iran accept Iranian dominance, or will they shun Iran and close the channels through which Iran was able to engage with rest of the world despite sanctions?
The haste with which people are announcing a verdict on the war is best avoided. No doubt, the war has thrown some nasty surprises. But given the sheer disparity in power, the smart money would still be on the US coming out on top, even if battered, bruised and with a bloody nose. A Pyrrhic victory perhaps but a victory nevertheless if the objective is to defang Iran and degrade the regime. Of course, Iran will rise again. Like the US, it too can never be written off. But in this conflict, the dice is loaded against it.
@DavidKudzia@zanehengsperger Investments are being made but, these large industrial projects takes 3-4 years to complete. This creates problems in short term
Elon Musk fired 80% of Twitter (6500 people) and everyone thought that Twitter was doomed.
He was right. Everyone was wrong.
