@Weather_West Missed your office hrs but have a question. We got hit by the flood hard and are trying to determine risk of another flood in the upcoming rains. We know there are sites that say “60% chance of rain on Tuesday in San Carlos”, but is there anything that predicts the amount?

@aldot29 It seems like the “undue influence” argument relies on the concept of one council member getting two votes. Instead it seems like it just starts a time clock that shifts the decision making framework. This seems like it should provide 30 days of motivation to find a compromise

@aldot29 Why are they framing it as a mechanism that gives one person two votes? Isn’t it really a 30 day clock that, if that period runs out, gives one person the sole vote (shifting to one person being the deciding vote instead of the four council members)

@molly_knight It feels like they shifted from wanting to have fans and embrace Oakland to figuring out how to exit to another market. Plus just trading everyone away this time was rougher than usual

@JosephMajkut Newbie Q for you—my understanding is that a C tax is levied at extraction (meaning essentially always levied on corporations), but it is assumed that they would pass the cost on to consumers (meaning consumers are paying a higher price but not a “tax”) Is that the WH logic here?
