6 Cone Vice Tackle Drill

- The drill uses a six-cone setup with specific cones assigned to two defenders and one runner to create varying angles and spaces for the vice tackle.

- Defenders must navigate around their assigned cones with high urgency before engaging the runner.

- Players are taught to manage distance by using long strides to close space quickly and transition to short strides as they approach the ball carrier.

- Effective tracking requires defenders to focus on the runner's near hip to maintain proper leverage and close the gap vertically.

- To properly execute the finish, defenders must keep their near foot up and strike the runner on the rise while maintaining good knee bend.

- Successful vice tackling relies on teammates trusting one another to close the air out of the play and maintain their respective leverage points.

They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died.

🔥If you want a D-Line that pursues fanatically to the ball you have to incorporate finishing into every drill you do.

Why not, instead of walking to the end of the line after a drill, pop up and pursue to the ball.

@Svedonia @GovAbbott I am a teacher who is a libertarian conservative. I’m not a fan of government involvement in much. But public dollars for private schools is probably a violationof separation of church and state. Private schools are mainly church entities. I’m still not sure how it can pass.

@GovAbbott Parents have the power in their children’s education. Send them to the public, charter, or private school (that they pay for themselves) of their choice and then make sure that those children attend. They can’t learn if they aren’t there.
