@SkipTylerMath@bnusshhs Thanks for coming to sharing with us! It was a great session for our first conference in 3 years.
Imagine my surprise when I got home and saw a #skipselfie on my phone. 😂 Not sure how you managed that. #igotskipped
@LieslMcconchie@Farrley I taught an elem math methods course last semester. When we got to the topic of fact fluency, the negative feelings associated with their facts learning experiences from 10-12 years ago was still so strong (the mention of mad minutes and ice cream sundae awards had them 😡)
@GotMathHelp You can go on AP’s website and look up the university to see what their policy is (it will link to university page). I was looking for my son and found VA Tech had a page that gave scores required, what class it would count for, and the restrictions depending on the major.
We still have some spots available for high school math, science, CTE, and computer science teachers! 🤩 We're betting you can find some creative ways to spend $3000 on professional learning over the next two years!! 🤔 #choice4teachers

@robertqberry @saravdwerf @4mpberry If a student showed work and gets partial credit on other test questions where they also put the wrong answer down, I don’t see why you wouldn’t do the same for MC questions (assuming the work is there). Unless your purpose is to mimic the state testing where that isn’t the case.
@KristieDonavan@pgliljedahl@AlexOverwijk I have a few teachers that have a 3-4 questions on a page and make a packet with all the problems. They tape page protectors next to the group boards, then slide the question packet in. Groups can progress through them once they checked their work (with other groups or teacher).
@JustinAion When I was in the classroom, I would just casually mention that they might hear it called FOIL by others and also that it was limited on the problems it could be applied to.
