@GrahamCoffeyDC We say it’s the “ump show” but if players do stupid things, then they have consequences.
The “warnings” are the plate meeting. Why does an umpire need to warn someone when they know they can’t act like that?
@RefObserver17 I think it is interesting that we need accountability for umpires…do we need accountability for players that make errors? Should they be fined? Should they be ejected for striking out swinging?
I think it is good to have a challenge system but referees are human beings also
@SwagnShades He’s not talking about hitters getting time…he’s talking about an infielder than asks for time after a single to the outfield because the infielder can’t throw the ball to the pitcher. We are told to keep the ball live and not grant time on those occasions.
@CloseCallSports I am a big #WhiteSox fan but wasn’t Webb in the windup when he was pitching to Anderson? You said that he was set prior to the batter being in the box, but then he takes a step before he pitches. That would mean he is in the windup and not the stretch. Thanks
@HuskerFBNation:
Coach Joseph:
"We will be perfect in every aspect of the game. You drop a pass, you run a mile. You miss a blocking assignment, you run a mile. You fumble the football, & I will break my foot off in your John Brown hind parts, & then you will run a mile." #GBR
@CloseCallSports The only thing I am confused by is that any time a runner is standing on a base, you can’t call them out for any reason. I thought the base protects you in those situations.
Thanks for the help.
