Because of it’s DNA. DNA doesn’t get rights. Sentience does. If a pig had our sentience we would give it rights. Until a certain point…

You know as well as I do that it won’t stop abortions, lead to a black market and dangerous activity, but I think a fundament discussion of ownership and autonomy needs to be had.

That’s why is not scientific to assign rights to a human fetus because of a philosophical bias. What makes humans special is we have sentience that gives us..
