Our paper "Automated Discovery of Container Executables" is published in the Journal of Open Research Software! 👉 https://t.co/e4GJRD3HPC. This was fun work with @MarcoDeLa83 and Audrey Stott from @PawseyCentre , @mathgeorgia, and Matthieu Muffato of @sangerinstitute.
I loved my time at the @OdenInstitute with @clint_dawson ! If you're looking for a postdoc in almost any area of computational science, the Oden Institute is a great opportunity.
Postdocs are vital to the @OdenInstitute's world-renowned work in interdisciplinary education & research. Think you've got what it takes to be an O’Donnell Postdoc? Submission Deadline Dec 16. More info here https://t.co/Ovx9UPlwyO

Gather round my goblins, ghoulies, and gargoyles! It's the end of the month - the Thursday before Halloween! 🐈⬛💀🎃👻 and it's time for some fun! Have you noticed that #RSEStories was a bit quiet for a month? We are excited to announce some news brought by winds of change... 🌬️
Finally, after 15+ years of planning, budgeting, system building and, probably, some tears, the #HPC community has arrived at an #ExascaleDay, on which we actually have a certified exaFLOPS #supercomputer:

Proposal: PhD-level course in "how to get stuff to build and run". The final exam assigns you a random GitHub repo for a paper from no less than five years ago and asks you to get it running within 24 hours
We're starting an amazing new group at @Livermore_Lab ! If you are passionate about building, programming, cloud or infrastructure, and learning... we'd love to have you! https://t.co/BPDcLSYwi5
🥑 Hybrid with option for full remote!
🥑 You might get to work with a dinosaur too!
“The next game will consist of replicating the results from a 10 year old paper using uncommented code written by an unpaid undergraduate research assistant.”
@hpcnotes A) Stampede, I think!
B) Never caught a flight to attend an HPC-centered conference. Plenty of math, geos, etc, but I got into HPC support after covid started
C) CUDA
UTD student job alert! My group in @UTDInfoTech at @UT_Dallas is hiring a cohort of FOUR upper undergrad and grad students. Student facilitators act as support for the UTD research computing community. Great work & learning opportunity: https://t.co/jUUHPXlyaV
Excited to attend the @TACC#HPC Leadership Institute in a few weeks! I'm especially looking forward to the tech evaluation session: https://t.co/I1lAey3a8R
Congratulations to Dr. Bob Panoff @ShodorBob1 , first recipient of the @SIGHPC Education Chapter's Award for Outstanding Contributions to Computational Science Education. He will be honored at the @Supercomputing awards ceremony in Dallas. https://t.co/oQYryoAj8R
I'm biased as a UTD alum and current UTD research scientist, but UTD is a great place to work! This looks like a great way to get to know UTD for potential early-career faculty members.
Happy #SysAdminDay 2022!
#HPC users owe a lot to all the folks who help install those supercomputers, interconnects, storage and software - and keep them working
The #HPC Leadership Training Institute is back!
Sept 12-14 at @TACC in Austin TX
With @hpcnotes@ItsHarveyTime@brandenjmoore & Kelly Gaither.

I worried a lot about this as a PhD student since I could see every flaw in my work. But, a dissertation is the beginning of a career not the culmination. It just needs to show that you've learned to make contributions to your field and be FINISHED!
Hey @vsoch , in #shpc can you define registry entries for local sif files? I've read the docs for `shpc add` and I'm not sure. Got some local images I'd like to write shpc registry entries for!
