@Senor_Mitch@mwineedgar No sir! Go back and review the documentation. Muganga doesn’t hold a naturalization certificate. The certificate moving on internet is a certificate of dual citizenship which you Mitch will need once you acquire let me say a Norwegian citizenship.
@kabderrick Absolutely and it seems DRC has no control over the narrative being driven out of their country. After all even the government has less control in the region where Ebola is. If they had control, they would prevail over these issues and perhaps show that they are in charge.
Now that the United States, Canada and UAE bundled Uganda, South Sudan and DRC in these collective travel bans. What is the likelihood that we shall all be kept on these bans until DRC gets to zero cases. It should be noted that cases are rising in double digit in DRC everyday.
@NUPkuntiko What about a Munyarwanda born in Uganda basing on the 1995 constitution? Also who is a foreign parent in your context? I want to hear from you on this?
@estonluwedde@ByamugishaMoses He was still a Ugandan by birth? If he came back to Uganda in 2008 with a Rwandan passport and applied for a Ugandan passport, the only thing MIA would tell him would be, we can’t issue it unless you denounce that Rwandan citizenship. The main element here is, MIA doesn’t deny…
@mwineedgar That’s literally how a Muganga (Ugandan by birth) acquired a Rwandan passport hustle-free. He is entitled to citizenship in both country by law.
@mwineedgar Are you familiar with both countries’ citizenship laws you are also responding fwaa?
The ingredient in both laws is that citizenship by birth recognizes ancestry. A Munyarwanda-Ugandan whose grand parent came from Rwanda can go to Rwanda and claim citizenship there.
@ByamugishaMoses@estonluwedde That’s not true! Otherwise he would be holding a citizenship by Naturalization or Registration Certificate. What he went through was a process to prove his Ugandan citizenship by birth. He did so! Muganga never lost his Ugandan citizenship. Not at any moment.
@MKarekye Very good! It seems the Kasujja effect has trickled down. Btw, just for knowledge, at what stage does UEGCL come in or what would their message be if they also crafted something?
@FERDINANDIUS Eeehh.. Counsel this information is everywhere. The man himself said and the records online indicate he went to Canada with a Rwandan passport. Definitely every document in Canada ticked Rwanda in the citizenship box. From his Canada visa application to the subsequent paperwork.
Banyarwanda anywhere they are and depending who their grand parent is, can qualify for both Uganda and Rwanda’s citizenship by Birth. Citizenship by birth in all countries is the most original form of citizenship one can have and most times it’s inalienable. It’s that sensitive!
@estonluwedde@ByamugishaMoses There is nowhere shows that he applied for Ugandan citizenship after acquiring the one of Rwanda. I guess that’s why he went to Canada with a Rwandan passport. But also, in our systems, it’s quite hard to document these patterns after all citizenship by birth is more inherent.
@estonluwedde@ByamugishaMoses You see the mistake most people make is to confuse application for dual citizenship & actual citizenship. Dr. Muganga has been Ugandan citizen always. Someone leaving Uganda for decades doesn’t make them cease to be citizens. What he did was he had to apply for dual citizenship.
@ByamugishaMoses This information is everywhere. The man returned recently from Canada. That is way after 2005 amendment. He says “I met then Vice President Ssekandi” asked him to return to Uganda to contribute to our education sector. Mr. Ssekandi was recently VP. Does this answer your question?
Tanzania’s Samia Suluhu Hassan joined Putin at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum which was meant to discuss Russia-Africa business opportunities. But guess what, the highlight from the Forum is Putin’s comments Zelensky during a Q&A. No one is talking about Suluhu.
@CanaryMugume It’s because he has been affected. He was in Congo recently and I think Trump has barred him from going to New York to lobby for money.😂😂
