@aftersunmatt Interesting proposal. My kids' teachers are often off in term time, for trainings, & it's disruptive. Other countries - the US and France for ex - have superb holiday camps, residential or daytime, which are great moneymakers & offer kids something refreshingly different.
Terrible mismanagement of crowds @LondonWaterloo@SouthernRailUK sending huge crowds back and forth between platforms in a series of inaccurate announcements. This included elderly people relying on canes. We need better crisis reactions.
@LibbyPageWrites I remember this well from nearly a decade ago when my children were this age. Making matters worse, every time my father visited from abroad he would immediately catch their nursery bugs and be confined to his room for half of the visit. It gets better once the children are 4+
@SianySianySiany I hope you're feeling a bit better. And thank you for all of your hard work! It has helped me to find work & I shared it with someone just embarking on freelance work just the other day. ♥️
Mundane Halloween is back!
Japan does Halloween better than anyone, but best of all is the annual "mundane Halloween" contest sponsored by website @dailyportalz.
The point is to dress up as something super ordinary.
Here are some of my favorites from this year...
@alymeister 100%. Though it's an interesting and variable situation to navigate when one of you leaves the job: are you still BFFs? Do you transition into an IRL friendship?
