[Mathimaran Pugazhendhi @MathiMaaran]

I want to clarify something about what I said at yesterday’s Mandaadi success meet event.

When I spoke about Suhas and the racist comments he had faced because of his skin colour, I was speaking only about one person and the comments directed at him. My words were never intended to refer to the Telugu people, the Telugu audience, or Telugu cinema as a whole.

In fact, at our Hyderabad pre-release event, I openly said that the Telugu film industry is leading the country today, and I have immense respect for the industry and its audience.

I would never intentionally say anything against the people who have given so much love to me and to Mandaadi. ❤️

If my words were misunderstood, I sincerely regret that. My respect and affection for Telugu cinema and the Telugu audience remain unchanged.

I spoke in support of Suhas and about what was said to him by one person — never about an entire community. ❤️

[Mathimaran Pugazhendhi @MathiMaaran]

@iamarunviswa @srkathiir @Mahima_Nambiar @Bala_actor Thank you so much sir

This film and its success truly belongs to the producer @elredkumar sir & @rsinfotainment ! At the time when most of the industry is making decisions based on ott approvals and pre sales calculations,to take up a project of this scale and positioning it with utmost confidence is truly remarkable!

I wanted to write a detailed review for #Mandaadi, especially for this one person @sooriofficial anna 🔥 Hats off for your efforts🫡

At its core Mandaadi, the film has a very simple storyline,a boating team fighting to reclaim the throne they lost 20 years ago because of betrayal. But it’s the way @MathiMaaran has presented this wafer thin storyline that creates the real magic with the audience.

The biggest plus of the film is undoubtedly its casting. Every character has been given a strong, meaningful role and each one is justified perfectly. @MathiMaaran, kudos to you for delivering a complete blockbuster entertainment package for the holiday season! 🔥

#Soori anna ❤️‍🔥

Throughout the movie, I kept searching for the comedian Soori I’ve known for years… but what I saw in every frame was the ACTION HERO MuthuKaali! 🔥🔥

The effort you’ve put into building your physique, owning those terrific action sequences, the mass moments while protecting Maari, and especially the dedication in the boat race sequences WOW! 🔥

And the emotional scenes with Angel… whether it was the seruppadi scene or the moment you fall at her feet, you brought out the actor in you beautifully. 🔥

This is truly a transformational film for you, anna. Please continue choosing strong, heroic roles. Your success is giving hope and inspiration to so many youngsters who dream of making it big. ❤️‍🔥

#Suhas as the baddie Sattapuli 🔥Every frame, he manages to convey pure evil through his eyes! A very strong villain role, and he carried it brilliantly right till the end. Phenomenal performance! 🔥🔥

@Mahima_Nambiar ❤️ It genuinely takes courage to play the mother of a teenage boy, but you took up the challenge boldly and absolutely slayed it! 🔥 More than the lovable Angel, I personally loved the bold Rakkama! 🔥🔥 This is definitely going to be a milestone film in your career.

#Mithun from #TouristFamily fame delivers a solid performance as Maari! 🔥From raw action sequences to lovable romantic moments, you nailed every shade of the character. You showed us a completely different Mithun from #TouristFamily. 👏🔥

@gvprakash 🔥 The background score was terrific! Especially the fight sequences and the boat race portions were absolute ThaaruMaaru! 🔥🔥🔥

#Sathyaraj Sir as always a cakewalk performance for you as usual you nailed it🔥

Overall, #Mandaadi is an experience that deserves to be watched in theatres. Don’t miss it for the stunning visuals of the sea, the action, emotions, performances, and the unique flavours packed into the movie.

A perfect holiday theatrical experience! 🔥🎬🌊

[R Sarath Kumar @realsarathkumar]

Speechless after watching the film #Mandaadi, a daring film making, never before attempted in Indian cinema, may sound exaggerated but that is the truth. Shot in the sea entirely, totally stunning picturization, guts of the actors and technicians to braving the challenges at sea.

Starts as a simple sailboat race at sea entwined with human values, love, sacrifices, I can go on.

Congratulations to the entire team. Specially the director #MathimaranPugazhendhi for visualising and executing this must watch film.

Actor Soori has lived the character and has gone a notch up in selecting and giving his best performance ever supported by all the actors, highlighted by GV's music and producer El Red for his bold attempt and confidence to make this Oscar worthy film.

Thamizhar Oodagam @TOodagam]

Just finished watching Mandaadi.

Director Mathimaran, cousin and former assistant to filmmaker Vetrimaaran, has delivered an absolute masterpiece.

It is genuinely unbelievable how they pulled this film off. No industry other than Tamil cinema could have made something like this.

Every actor in every frame is a delight to watch. The characters, the drama built around them, the culture, the people — everything feels incredibly authentic and alive.

And the boat-at-sea sequences… the way those scenes were conceived, designed, shot and executed is simply out of this world. The visual language is extraordinary.

What makes it even more unbelievable is that this is a debut director. The conviction, the craft, the layering of the story and the sheer control over the material are top-notch.

Soori and Suhas were completely shocking and brilliant. 🔥

Hats off to Mathimaran and every single person who worked on this film. 👏🏻

Mandaadi is a MUST WATCH for every film lover — on the big screen.

Mathimaran, the director. 👍🏻🫵🏻

This is what Tamil cinema is capable of.
With this level of visual literacy and storytelling craft, you are one of the filmmakers who can take Tamil cinema towards that ₹1000 crore global box-office dream. @MathiMaaran
