Armed Forces HQ.
This is where #RSF & #SAF cold bloodedly massacred peaceful protestors in 2019.
Today, they're fighting each other, & burning that same HQ they were "protecting".
All in a fight for power, fueled by ego & greed.
Killing the people once again.
Pray for #Sudan
As the fighting expands, essential services collapse, diseases spread, and hunger looms larger. The situation is slipping off the newsreel and diplomatic agenda.
We must keep #Sudan in focus and demand sustained efforts to alleviate the suffering.

⚠️That's 11,000 civilian victims confirmed dead in only one city...
11,000 buried let alone how many bodies were burned and how many bodies are still inaccessible.
That's only ONE CITY, less than 100 days into the war that broke out all around Sudan, with focus on ElGeneina and Khartoum.
الله يرحم كل الضحايا و يغفر ليهم...
الله ينتقم من كل من شارك في الحرب و كل من دعمهم.

Bodies of 11,000 victims of #war crimes committed by #RSF (Janjaweed) have been buried in the city of El Geneina, West #Darfur, so far. Furthermore, the collection of dead bodies is still ongoing in tough conditions.

"If your kid is boy, they will take him throw him in the fire or kill him." Men and little boys are killed in West Darfur. They had to dress little boys as girls to escape the RSF/Janjaweed
A sanctuary became a warzone.
At least 187,000 #refugees have now fled from the battle for Khartoum to elsewhere in #Sudan, primarily to White Nile, Red Sea and Gedaref. These three states collectively host 90% of them.
Refugee protection is also needed.

NEW: Farmers across Sudan warn of a famine as they tell Reuters they haven’t able to plant enough or at all before the rains start, expecting a failed season. With @SarahSafty@khalidsayed1:

قبل اكتر من سنتين قررت اني ما اعتمد على النظام المركزي ال
oppressive & exploitive.
That's what Blockchains/ public Disturbed ledgers provide.

Listen to the first 40 minutes of the recorded space once it's done, the aim and current work is about helping those who lack access to basic needs, what they're discussing now is just one arm of it, regarding what system or model that can make this initiative scalable to help more
I have so much to say about this topic that I don't even know where to even start.
Tech wise, Hedera provides everything that's needed to the dot.
Governance & trust wise: the current governing council are all fortune 500 companies who are building their systems on it and launching them already to get a head start, but permission-less public nodes are coming closer and closer on the roadmap, and that's when it becomes fully de-centeralised, leaderless, public open source network.
Personally, If the world is burning and my enemy can fly, I'd attach myself to their wings.
We either survive together, crash together, or I'll just end up acquiring new wings.
Instead of building our own, we could work on building on a public DLT with low transaction fees, low energy consumption, high security, low energy consumption, and a means to guarantee the chain stays up for the long run (nodes operators with high stakes in the game). Something that can be used for more than just running the economy, but all forms of data and information. Something that'll always provide a true source of truth, and has the trust and low cost to be maintained.
Look into @hedera and the Hashgraph algorithm.
Regardless,
@ThawragySD انا مهتم بشدة.
I'm 100% sure there is a way to do so much that we desperately need our survival at this point.
estimates that 57% of #khartoum 🇸🇩displaced in past three months
this was a capital city
a metropolis of perhaps 6-7 million people
or at least used to be
relentless bombing, rape, pillage
no basic services
obstructed aid access
no mass evac support
we step up survivor support
The world is truly a selfish and evil place.
We're being eradicated and erased from history, and no one bats an eye.
they'll kill us all and re-write our history again, and blame us for the suffering they put us through.

About half a million people have already fled #Sudan.
Bordering countries must lift entry restrictions for those fleeing the conflict in the country, and ensure protection for those who have already done so: https://t.co/NG1JXXgm8U
Survivors from West Darfur have gone through a harrowing experience. “Our neighbors were some displaced women, [RSF/allied militia] broke their legs and left them [for dead].
We arrived here in Chad yesterday, we haven’t had anything to eat or drink.”
