Twenty years ago I sold the first pair of TOMS shoes to a guy named Ben Katz, and this week the company sent me a box to celebrate what that simple idea on a farm in Argentina became. To everyone who ever bought a pair, everyone who helped us give millions of shoes to kids around the world, and everyone who worked alongside me to turn one sentence into something that changed the way we all think about business, thank you. It has been a hell of a twenty years and TOMS, I wish you luck on the next twenty more.

If a child starts behind in reading, the odds of catching up fall fast:
• 49% in kindergarten
• 29% in first grade
• 18% in second
• 5% in third
We don’t have a third-grade reading crisis. We have an early learning problem. Great take, @ChadAldeman.

Years after a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), the brain can rewire and strengthen with the right strategies and supports. With Task Force Rahal, the goal is to empower organizations like The Center for Brain Health as we all look for new ways to challenge our brains to reach higher levels of recovery and performance, depending on your stating point.
Here are a few tips to help you take advantage of your brain’s capacity:
🎯 Be strategic with your attention
The brain can tire more quickly after an injury, especially when faced with a lot of background stimulation. Reduce distractions and train your brain to prioritize one task at a time.
🌱 Schedule quiet time to recharge your brain
Often after TBI, the brain may need more time to process and recover from cognitive effort. Build in regular breaks to help your brain lock in learning and strengthen new connections.
🤝 Build a circle of support that encourages your growth and recovery every step of the way.

FACT: Before #TitleIX was enacted in 1972, only 15% of college athletes were women.
Today, 44% of NCAA athletes are women - a testament to Title IX’s power to level the playing field for girls and women in educational activities. #TitleIXMonth
