I have given some pupils a grade 3 in maths. Not their exam, but me. That could be life-changing for some.

Yes, of course it’s based upon their own work, but the fact I could’ve given them a higher grade feels odd.

I see so many posts asking how to 'survive' residential trips. Just back from a trip with my class and I didn't need to survive. I laughed with them, supported and encouraged them, shed tears with them and delighted in their triumphs. Don't survive a residential - learn from it.
