Grade 5 mathematicians @connectcharter kicked off the school year with the 100#s task to encourage talking in math and to norm what "good" group work looks like, sounds like, and feels like- thank you @saravdwerf! Students were so engaged. Our mathematical classroom came alive!

@pwharris 1/2 Our school has taken the strong stance to ban math homework in the elementary. Instead of homework, we built an incredible math games library and we encourage parents to play math with their kids. This is a wildly unpopular initiative with parents, who would prefer a workbook
