Literally all I do as a Maths teacher:

1- remind them what product is
2- adding 0 makes no mathematical sense
3- a decimal point doesn’t have legs and can’t move
4- column method in your head is a no no

I enjoy the discussions shape properties bring up, but I also ‘don’t feel right’ teaching children that circles have 1 side and spheres, cylinders and cones have a finite number of edges, faces and vertices...#teaminfinity #maths
