My kids really enjoyed the picture proof. I think I could have been more clear with my vocabulary. Here’s the video of the “picture proof” of FTC.

3rd period AP Stats students are estimating the average word length in a book using a one sample t interval. Does this help predict reading level? Can you guess what book they are currently reading in their English classes? @BellaireHigh@bhsmathdept#apstats
I’ve been really impressed with the resilience and toughness of our kids. We are starting to get rolling with that #MathLife. We can do this all day now. Tomorrow, Mu Alpha Theta invitees will know if they are officially in. Fun times guys.
A cool system of equations Log Problem. I gave this question to my kidos in the form of one of their final exam questions. Check it out, have some fun with it.

The research on AP 1s, 2s just confirms what AP teachers have long said: that many students who score 1s, 2s are better prepared for college; each student’s individual journey is what counts; the growth a student achieves in a course is more important than any single score.
Research doesn’t support the terms “passing/failing” AP exams; scores of 1-2 also predict (not cause) higher college attendance rates; students who achieve 2s do significantly better in intro college classes compared to students w/the same GPA, SAT, etc. https://t.co/5Q0bv671gH
The scoring of AP Exam multiple-choice questions is complete. There are definitely going to be some perfect scores this year -- while students who attempted to Google the answers lost those points. Here’s a short write-up on what I’m seeing so far: https://t.co/npKQPSts0q.
