I would like to warmly congratulate Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri on her appointment as Head of Government of Morocco, as well as on becoming the first woman to hold this role.
Female leadership is key to addressing today’s global challenges. I am committed to continuing to work with Morocco 🇲🇦, a key and strategic partner, to strengthen our solid partnership in line with our common challenges and joint interests.

Today at #UNGA81 with @UN_Women I was proud to co-launch the Surging Women’s Employment Initiative - a new flagship under our #PactForTheMediterranean.
Our ambition is concrete:
👩💼 500,000 additional jobs for women
📈 +5% women’s employment by 2030
💶 €25 million mobilised, including €10 million from the EU
Together we will invest in skills, entrepreneurship and job creation, including in the care, green, science and technology sectors.
More women in work means stronger economies and more inclusive and prosperous societies.
Multilateralism is not an act of idealism; in today’s world, it is a practical necessity.
Read here my message in the @FT, together with Prime Minister @MarkJCarney, President @LulaOficial, and President @WilliamsRuto, ahead of tomorrow’s summit ‘Partners for Multilateralism’ #P4M #UNGA81

The UN High-Level Week is about to kick off in New York.
For over 80 years, the UN has been the world’s common ground, bringing countries together to tackle global challenges.
The EU is proud to be its biggest backer.
Together with @vonderleyen and @eucopresident, we met with UN Secretary-General @antonioguterres to discuss how to strengthen cooperation in a world that needs more dialogue and trust than ever.
The public glorification afforded to a convicted war criminal in Belgrade is an affront to the memory of the victims, their families, and all those who suffered during the conflicts in the Western Balkans.
True reconciliation cannot be built on revisionism, the denial of genocide or the honouring of perpetrators.
Serbia's path into the European Union requires an unequivocal commitment to fundamental European values and historical truth.
There is no place in Europe for the glorification of war criminals.
The images from Ratko Mladić’s funeral yesterday in Belgrade were shocking.
Ratko Mladić was a convicted war criminal. He was responsible for genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. He died while serving a life sentence for the Srebrenica genocide and other crimes.
The elements of official support and the presence of some senior Serbian officials at the funeral are deeply regrettable. They demonstrate a failure to confront a dark chapter in Europe’s recent history and contradict the values underpinning Serbia’s path towards the European Union.
Our thoughts are with all the victims of the crimes committed in the countries of former Yugoslavia.
Visiting a school in southern #Lebanon is a powerful reminder of how deeply displacement affects 👧🏻 👦🏼. Their education and wellbeing should never be casualties.
The EU supports access to basis services and helps build hope and resilience for the future. 🇪🇺🇱🇧
Today we opened the first EU–Lebanon Joint Monitoring Committee. Over the coming two days, we are reviewing our support across key sectors with a shared focus on Lebanon’s recovery, reforms and stronger state institutions.
The EU remains a reliable, long-term partner to 🇱🇧
The Israeli Government’s decision to publish construction tenders for the E1 settlement project is unacceptable.
We have long opposed this step.
It undermines the two-state solution by dividing the West Bank and breaking the territorial continuity of the Palestinian Territories.
We remain committed to a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.

I welcome #Lebanon’s decision to abolish the death penalty.
This landmark decision reflects also the EU’s efforts and marks an important advance for human dignity and the right to life.
By becoming the first country in the region to end capital punishment, 🇱🇧 is demonstrating leadership and encouraging progress beyond its borders.
The 🇪🇺 remains a steadfast partner of Lebanon as it advances reforms, strengthens democratic institutions, upholds fundamental rights and the rule of law, and works to build a safer and more resilient future for all its citizens.
Heartwarming to see the success of our 2nd Palestine Donor Group meeting today, with 65 participating countries and institutions.
We have raised almost €900 million for early recovery in Gaza.

Syria’s 🇸🇾 recovery is not only about rebuilding what was lost - it is also about creating a future that is more inclusive, more resilient, and more hopeful for all Syrians.
By working together - with Syrian partners, with civil society, and with the international community - we can turn that vision into reality.
And the European Union 🇪🇺 is here to help make it possible.
Morocco is a close, reliable, and strategic partner for the European Union. It was a pleasure to meet with Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita in Rabat.
The EU is Morocco’s largest trading partner and biggest foreign investor.
This foundation of our partnership is already very solid. But we’ll make it even stronger, including in areas such as maritime security and resilience against hybrid threats.
My remarks in Rabat ↓
3 years of war in Sudan. People killed. Women raped. Families torn apart. Children starving.
The EU is not looking away. Today, we announce more than €811 MIL. for Sudan.
This crisis deserves our attention every single day.
It has been three years since the start of the war in Sudan, and millions have lost their homes and access to basic services in a crisis that remains dangerously overlooked.
A coordinated international response is urgently needed.

Make new friends, but keep the old.
A new photo captures the Moon's near side on the right (the side we see from Earth, identifiable by its dark splotches) and its far side on the left. The Artemis II crew are the first to see the far side with human eyes.
I represented the EEAS🇪🇺 at the commemoration of the Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda.
We honor the memory of the victims, stand in solidarity with survivors, and reaffirm our collective commitment: Never Again
