Genuinely, what are they doing with Helaena?

In the book, she’s gentle and wants peace, but she still has a voice. She sits on Aegon’s council, offers her own life during Blood & Cheese and is completely broken by Jaehaerys’ death.

In the show, she barely feels like a real person anymore. Her visions only matter when the plot needs them to, she hardly reacts to losing her son, and now she seems perfectly okay with Rhaenyra taking the city while her own family is still in danger. Instead of worrying about Aegon, Aemond, Jaehaera, or even her dead son, she’s talking about keeping chickens and making sure no animals get hurt.

I honestly don’t understand this version of Helaena. Phia Saban deserves so much better than this writing. #HOTD
