This morning at a rainy 🇨🇾 Ayia Napa beach with @GlennMicallef and a brilliant group of young minds from all over 🇪🇺.

We had an exchange with local fishers and participated in activities relevant to microplastics, biodiversity, oil spills, shipping and sustainable fishing.

We are fully committed to ambitious actions to preserve the ocean’s health and ensure the sustainable future of our coastal communities.

Exposition: « Chypre au Louvre », du 11 février au 22 juin 2026

Pour la première fois, le musée du Louvre accueille dans les salles d’archéologie chypriote seize œuvres prêtées par le Département des Antiquités du Ministère de la Culture de la République de Chypre, accompagnées d’une expérience numérique inédite.

À partir d’œuvres emblématiques et iconiques, comme les idoles en picrolite extraites du Mont Troodos ou un lingot de cuivre inscrit mis au jour dans un des sanctuaires d’Enkomi, le visiteur est invité à mieux comprendre les productions matérielles et les échanges commerciaux et culturels qui se développent dans l’île au chalcolithique et à l’âge du Bronze.

🇨🇾🇪🇺 Cette exposition, organisée par le musée du Louvre en collaboration avec le Ministère de la Culture de Chypre, l’Université de Chypre et le CYENS et elle est réalisée dans le cadre du Programme culturel de la présidence chypriote du Conseil de l’Union européenne en 2026.

Έκθεση: «Η Κύπρος στο Λούβρο», 11 Φεβρουαρίου – 22 Ιουνίου 2026

Για πρώτη φορά, το Μουσείο του Λούβρου φιλοξενεί στις αίθουσες κυπριακής αρχαιολογίας δεκαέξι αρχαιότητες που παραχωρήθηκαν από το Τμήμα Αρχαιοτήτων του Υφυπουργείου Πολιτισμού της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας. Η έκθεση συνοδεύεται από μια πρωτότυπη ψηφιακή εμπειρία.

Μέσα από εμβληματικά και χαρακτηριστικά αντικείμενα, όπως τα ειδώλια από πικρόλιθο, ένα πέτρωμα που βρίσκεται στο Όρος Τρόοδος ή ένα εγχάρακτο ομοίωμα τάλαντου από χαλκό που ανακαλύφθηκε σε ένα από τα ιερά της Εγκώμης, οι επισκέπτες καλούνται να κατανοήσουν καλύτερα τις τεχνικές παραγωγής υλικών, καθώς και τις εμπορικές και πολιτιστικές ανταλλαγές που αναπτύχθηκαν στο νησί κατά τη Χαλκολιθική περίοδο και την Εποχή του Χαλκού.

🇨🇾🇪🇺 Η έκθεση διοργανώνεται από το Μουσείο του Λούβρο με τη συνεργασία του Υφυπουργείου Πολιτισμού της Κύπρου, του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου και του CYENS στα πλαίσια του Πολιτιστικού Προγράμματος της Κυπριακής Προεδρίας του Συμβουλίου της ΕΕ 2026.
