If your company just codes some LoB (point of sale, exercise tracking, etc) and you have really strict gate-keeping interviews, you only look like arrogant a-holes. If you are really smart and had your sh#t together, your systems wouldn't fold like a house of cards if you made a hiring mistake. In fact, a good company can handle a lot of skill variance and diversity in general. Stop acting like you're writing the next lunar landing control center; you're shoveling data from left to right. That's it. Your reputation is going to follow you long after acting like this.
