OMG Cable - The New Batch
Now in USB C, the implant is much smaller, but it’s even more powerful than before.
Smartphone/tablet attacks, extreme long range triggers, geofencing, etc.

Plastics are alien technology to hardware nerds. Surely nobody would ever be able to replicate the plastics of an existing product to make an identical exterior. Or seal it back into the original box.
Here is an unrelated video:
Still laughing at this a day later.
It’s especially funny when you remember how large parts of the drone community refused to acknowledge dual use. I know @d0tslash remembers.
@HackingLZ And why I always hated trying to classify a technique. Like… I don’t fucking know. It worked just fine without being classified. You got a lot of problems, why you gotta make more for yourself like this?
Russia hid spy hardware in the walls of TechEx, an Ukraine defense company that builds drones.
They don’t really explain what it is beyond “wire tap”, so let’s do a quick analysis on the hardware to configure out what it does!

If it’s mostly speculators potentially injuring themselves, I feel like most people are ok with that. I do wonder if there are things like pensions that might jump in early, and if so, how significant.
I’ve seen some crazy commentary about stocks & taxes lately. So I’m trying to keep tabs on what has nuggets of truth.
The most wild was that Elon potentially giving away stock is “offloading overvalued stock to children and forcing them to take the inevitable loss” 😂😂🙃
@elonmusk@bot Fix weird UI shit like this.
The “on-demand usage” section of Grok Bot lets me pay into what seems like a black hole.
I have to go to the Grok app for the real on-demand credits…. wtf??
Also Grok Bot doesn’t know how to send this feedback if the account is in privacy mode.
1 - monitor a comms channel for the 2% of stuff that actually needs my attention
2 - recon 5+ years of a comms channel’s history, build a knowledge base off it, watch for situations where someone needs the info and surface it to me
3 - routinely look for improvements to a public facing system based on new public/customer interactions & the knowledge base of #2
Etc
I’m surprised by Grok @bot. I have a mountain of complete bullshit that eats my time while running every aspect of a business. It’s the first fully managed solution where I can meaningfully offload tons of it in the form of a few dozen “micro employees”.
I tried doing with OpenAI’s “Dot” and it quickly turned into a firehose of different topics colliding into a singular chat UI, where Grok Bot lets you separate each topic domain. And for time sensitive stuff, Grok Bot can repeat checks every 5min compared to Dot’s 1hr.
Sure, there are roll your own options, like Hermes. But fully managed is much lower friction for a lot of stuff.
Yeah. I get the vision… a single assistant to manage everyone else. It just doesn’t fit how I currently work. Sure, maybe down the line I could essentially teach a single agent to replicate how I manage the Grok Bot panel… but that requires so much work (friction) and I really can’t see it happening with how much of my own discretion goes into modifying how it gets managed.
@liamodaily@sama Yeah. I figure once robotics fills the gap, it’ll open a lot of doors for AI. It’s already happening in a lot of labs. But once it’s commonly available… well I certainly want one!
Hey @sama, you should see what I can do with a bent spoon.
I get that this is outside of what YOU think hackers can do, but this is well within the scope of what a well resourced red team can do during an op. Wait till you learn that every trace on a PCB is an antenna.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman: "I don't even know a dramatic enough word to use… models can find bugs that are outside of the normal threat model of what we think a hacker can do… hardware-level, insane stuff… I no longer think we're gonna be able to just patch all the bugs."
@Andrew42634355@ZackKorman@UK_Daniel_Card@sama Ehh… that’s just the mirror image of this issue. Just because it’s oversold/over represented doesn’t mean it isn’t still incredibly useful and valuable.
@ZackKorman@UK_Daniel_Card@sama It’s an interesting problem. There is a moderate chance he doesn’t know these realities before saying it. It’s not like he can survey his company before ever off the cuff remark, or even AI for that matter (though even AI would do a great job of normalizing it.)
It’s not even as cool as Spectre/Meltdown because you started with control on both sides of the comms link. Spectre/Meltdown started with only one side.
