I'm proud to share that my journal article "Decision-making in Nunavut's Impact Review Process" is now published in the Lakehead Law Journal https://t.co/IkbDlXQPiX
This was a labour of love dating back to law school. Glad to see it across the finish line.
JD Vance is lecturing the Pope on Catholicism and Pierre Poilievre is lecturing Mark Carney on economics and RFK Jr is lecturing scientists about vaccines and Donald Trump is lecturing the world on tariffs and Pete Hegseth is quoting Pulp Fiction and thinking it’s the Bible
Now they’re saying it was a nothing tournament 😂😂😂. You were talking all the smack all week. Don’t you forget who your hockey daddy is America.

Conservative Party of BC Leader John Rustad’s personal investments are almost entirely in gold, an unorthodox strategy associated with investors hedging against inflation or worried about economic collapse.

“Ottawa sends the rebates to offset what people pay in carbon pricing when they buy fuel... People who do things to lower their fuel use are even better off, because they still get the same rebate but pay less in carbon pricing.”

“Yes, the industrial carbon levy could be ramped up… But the added expenses, either in taxes or regulatory burden, would be passed through to consumers, without the benefit of offsetting payments.“

“In 2023, the world including China installed 425 gigawatts of new solar power; the world without China installed only 162 gigawatts. China accounted for 263 gigawatts; the United States accounted for just 33.” https://t.co/uqPUdUW5Qg
I’m deeply disappointed to see the NDP abandon consumer carbon pricing. Not only is it a critical and effective tool for reducing GHG emissions, 8/10 people get MORE money back than what they pay!

Climate action + equitable wealth redistribution should be NDP priorities. While the NDP have left the door to industrial pricing, we’re in a climate emergency and it’s critical to be straight with the public about the facts of the consumer carbon pricing system.
This old guy just confirmed he passed law school ✌️
School is cool 😎 even in your 30s. But, it’s also hard. And I’m never doing it again and need to work for a long time now.
But, the clichés still apply: set goals, achieve them, don’t listen to the doubters, and keep pushing
Did you know the premiers that are scapegoating carbon pricing can remove the federal backstop as long as they have a plan to reduce GHG emissions at the same rate? They haven’t because the other options are MORE expensive.
Carbon pricing is the least costly and most effective way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Ask yourself: do you want to do nothing, or pay more for other approaches?
