I never thought I would be the first to do anything - then I met Deb.

I met Deb because she was in pain. I diagnosed her cancer. We shared many great laughs and tough moments. When her cancer was stubborn despite chemoradiation treatments, we discussed a life changing surgery.

We're building the world's surgical faculty. We want you on the team.

Surgery doesn't stop evolving, and neither should the way we teach it.

SurgeOn is assembling a global academic faculty unlike anything that exists in surgery today, and we are looking for educators who are ready to be part of something bigger than their own institution.

We are actively looking for volunteers to expand our current teams as well as expanding into new specialisms.

- What you bring matters. We give you the platform to share it.
- Your cases. Your curriculum. Your hard-won perspective.
- The gaps you were never taught, what you learned the difficult way.
- That knowledge doesn't belong in one OR. It belongs to your peers around the world.

SurgeOn is a platform exclusively for medical professionals which currently has over 50,000 members.

We are looking for:
- Directors: Who manage the overarching direction of the team
- Co-Directors: There to support and learn from the director
- Members: Those who are active and support the group - Faculty level
- Fellows: Those who are active and support the group - Trainee level

I recently completed training on the Intuitive Da Vinci SinglePort (SP) robot and thought it could be an ideal approach for her. We discussed this new approach and she agreed to trust me. I performed the first Da Vinci SP Abdominoperineal Resection in the United States.

Applicants will work in one of three domains: (1) converting existing patient education (2) creating new patient education, or (3) creating infographics. Applicants will be mentored by Dr. Chu and the Ethics Co-Leaders (Drs. Matt Bobel and Jill Clark) on a monthly basis
