@MaxROIFarmer@NickEhlers01@nopolitics555 My point is maybe 900 million in 4 years could go a long ways in fixing a lot of our public school issues. The private schools will only raise tuition the same amount as voucher, then who's the winner?
They are just gonna ram it through.
School choice bill moves quickly toward a vote in the Iowa House and Senate | Iowa Public Radio https://t.co/eiODqw4s76
@MaxROIFarmer@NickEhlers01@nopolitics555 Most of its funding comes from private businesses. It's definitely a step in the right direction for public schools. I would encourage you to take a tour if you're in the Des Moines area. You'll be blown away
@MaxROIFarmer@NickEhlers01@nopolitics555 I would encourage you to google "Des Moines Public Schools Central Campus". This is a good example of what funding can do for public education. This campus is focused entirely on the trades. They have an aviation school, a farm, culinary arts, health services, and many others.
@MaxROIFarmer@NickEhlers01@nopolitics555 Isn't tax payer money going to a religious school essentially "compelling" taxpayers to support a religion? That money will then be used to promote the religion? Another reason this bill shouldn't be fast tracked. To many possible consequences
@MaxROIFarmer@NickEhlers01@nopolitics555 Separation of church and state comes to mind, but then again we only concern ourselves with the constitution when it fits our own narrative. 🙄
@nopolitics555@MaxROIFarmer@NickEhlers01 So you're ok using tax payer dollars fund private svhools so they can push their own agenda? What if a satanic private school is created and the government uses tax payer dollars to send kids to this school? I'm all in for the tax dollar to follow the kid within the public system
@MaxROIFarmer@NickEhlers01 Where does it leave public schools when tax payer dollars are used by private schools to hand pick the best students? Creates a huge disparity in the schools.
@MaxROIFarmer@NickEhlers01 $258,000,000 will go to kids currently in private school. That is new money that comes from state fund. You can't tell me $258 mil wouldn't help iowa public schools. There is also nothing to keep the private schools from raising their tuition to grab the $7600.
