#redskins will regret not starting over and bringing in head coach who wants Lamar Jackson at 13, keeping Kendall Fuller and having even more money to spend in FA.
@FelixDTrammell No matter which way we slice it, the “didn’t put many weapons around JD on a rookie contract” narrative is valid. “But they tried with Pierce and Doubs” - and? Not an original take, but that’s the biggest failure IMO and what gives me low confidence that this season can be great.
@golferinatlanta@SamBorden To me his experience and athleticism never quite lined up. Through his first few years at Chelsea - incredible speed and athleticism but end product and decision making not world class. That improved at Milan, but his speed no longer exists. If it ever lined up = world class
@kirkcoburn@DanWetzel He had speed back then; sadly, now he doesn’t. To your point, he can still be a contributor to a team with talent by making well-timed runs into the box but his days of taking people on to the end line are gone.
@team980@P_ConnerJr He’s another low round draft pick, like Medrano, that seems to have no path to playing time after using free agency and high picks on their position. He flashed to me last year so kinda disappointing
@BenStandig Does it seem like he gets dragged a few yards on most tackles? Like doesn’t square up and drop them right at the point of contact? It’s probably just me, since everyone rates him so highly.
@BrendanDarr Agree. Re: LB: We have Luvu, Chenal, Magee in a league that rarely uses 3 LBs. It’s a position where you can get a pro bowler cheap in FA. If Terry gets hurt next year with this group we are toast. If we want Jayden to stop scrambling as much for his health, we need separators
@discoque92 Players as good as 2026 Terry don’t hit free agency anymore. One of the only positions where they don’t. So I find it funny when people talk up drafting a LB at 7 and yet still think we can move on from him after next year. Not to mention we are paying Payne $28m this year.
@HoopzPlayground@ZachSelbyWC This is my biggest concern as well. Gonna have to be a really clever question to get something that isn’t cookie cutter out of him. Idk if it’s possible haha
@Hail_RaiseHail@PedroSchmithYT Tate vs Styles….oh, and one hits FA when the other never would. “Tee Higgins signed a four-year, $115 million contract extension with the Cincinnati Bengals in March 2025”….”Devin Lloyd signed a 3-year, $45 million contract with the Carolina Panthers in March 2026,”
@SleeperWSH@PSchrags If you wanted a great LB, why not sign Lloyd for $14m/year and no draft capital? Good WRs don’t ever hit the open market and a decent one just got $29m/year and never really hit the open market. We have Chanal, Luvu, and Magee already as well.
@JasonLaCanfora@Sportsboomcom Appreciate the info. Does this likely assume that Tate is off the board, or that they’d still opt for Love even if Tate is available? I would prefer Tate based on need and positional value personally.
@FightBairdFight@NBC4Sports@JPFinlayNBCS@MlinaresDC I like Dyami but he’s more of a WR4 who can be a decent WR3. But they paid him $10m last year and couldn’t even get on the field back half of the year. We need a WR2 badly.
