@SECcousinShane Saying this while Cole Hudson remains at practice in a Longhorn uniform after practicing with the Dallas Cowboys is so funny. Just practice what you preach man, you’re either for it or against it
To be fair, one side involved an active player using sports betting sites to gamble on his own team. The other side allegedly involves a third party investment group trading predictions on a financial prediction site. No where near the same thing
@DrunkCoachBaker@Tiger__Vibes They’d have to consider and enforce that for every team with a former pro player then. If that’s what they decide to do, go ahead. I just don’t want to see them single out a single school while allowing other programs guilty of doing the same thing LSU is to play in the CFP
@rozenwill Honestly I think LSU’s involvement with the case has dropped. LSU didn’t hire the lawyers for these players, they did. The fight is between players fighting for their own eligibility and the conference
Hottest of hot takes. Lane Kiffen is saving College Football.
Whether it’s monopoly or college baseball, the rules only matter if they are enforced.
Him showing all these gray areas closes them
@justmeansdeboer You have four 10-win seasons at Ole Miss. I think you can win a national championship at LSU. I watched a guy eat grass and just run the toss sweep, and a guy who doesn’t speak English win it. I think Lane, with this roster and this staff, can definitely do it.
@CasualReb Laugh if you choose but if Ole Miss woulda fallen off the map before Lane Kiffin ever touched ground there, no one would have noticed or cared. Current day, LSU has won the 2nd most national titles in this century out of everyone. It may be funny but he aint wrong
@EdLawDude@AYSSPORTS Hey Scott, I’m young and I know I may not know a lot, but all P4 universities are dues-paying members of the NCAA. Likewise, all members of the SEC are dues-paying members of the conference. If a judge barred the NCAA from enforcing these rules, what makes the SEC any different?
@Tiger__Vibes If they had made the choice to leave college as opposed to stay while they still could, I’d get behind this and moving forward I will take this stance. In this season, the c/o 2022 did not get the chance to make the decision to stay or go pro. For that reason, they should play
@TheTigerHokage@EverythingRebs TROs unfortunately only good for 10 days. I don’t expect LSU to press this but the individual players definitely will. Judge on Monday at the injunction hearing could grant them the PI and rule that the conference cannot punish the school for playing someone they deemed eligible
@MikeBajda@FirstTake@MadDogUnleashed In the news bc we’re one of the biggest brands in sports currently. Obviously no one would have cared had it been a G5 or lower P4 school. But LSU is easy targets bc of how large of a name and image they hold
