2023-08-29 Out-of-Cycle Security Bulletin: Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved: A crafted BGP UPDATE message allows a remote attacker to de-peer (reset) BGP sessions (CVE-2023-4481) https://t.co/giHPGXrJrH
I'm catching up on some articles on https://t.co/j7j17cNzEh . A nice source of tech info about networking world written by my fellows. Will be proud to post my first article in few weeks on this site. And then many others should follow. Stay tuned. Sharing is in the Juniper’s DNA
My guy @mattdinham found this on Reddit https://t.co/VhjSeSgHvx As you read it, see if you can work out what caused this problem.
I had two working theories. Both of them were wrong!
@NetworkFunTimes@danieldibswe Yep, IPoE is very specific thing that generally means DHCP when used as the trigger for a subscriber session management (rather than PPPoE). May or may not use RADIUS for auth or apply other attributes to the session - all depends on use case
NEW POST! Junos has tons of CLI time-savers that help you do incredibly powerful things with one single command. I've rounded up 5 of my favourites for you. Give them a look—they'll turn your job from a chore into a joy.

If you run BGP and control your own routing prefixes, take the time to learn about routing security with RPKI. I've collected some resources both general and @JuniperNetworks Junos implementations.

@mountainrescuer@mellowdrifter@sus_admin And now I remember doing back to back frame relay over the top just so I could do DLCIs and get a logical traffic separation for VRFs. Fun times!
