Two days ago I learned that someone used the names of @wilkinsimmanuel and @flymyspcshp to scam their audiences into streaming bad AI-generated music. Streaming services need to distinguish these releases from the real artists, or remove these releases altogether as *scams*. 🧵
@qobuz@Damonatbpa UPDATE: 9 of the 10 "Common Bossa" albums listed on @Qobuz are now unavailable. The album under Wilkins' name has been made unavailable on YouTube and Spotify. Haven't checked all the others individually, but this is a good sign.
NEW: CoreCivic donated $500,000 to the Trump inauguration, according to a new disclosure. In its post-election investor call, the prison company's CEO said it was ramping up its capacity to help ICE detain immigrants for profit. https://t.co/wtauv7OjiI
Not sure if anyone's still checking the @bebetterbelmont account but you all probably have some important background to understand this: https://t.co/Ytx0vVsQIK
Most people use "he/him" for me but I encourage you to use "she/her" often as well! I would rather not be referred to as "they/them" though, doesn't really suit me. Other genderfluid/genderqueer people may differ!
When I say my pronouns are 'he/him, she/her' or 'she/he' some people are like "omg Matthew thinks she's like... two people in one."
No ... not at all. I'm one person, but my gender changes throughout the day, so both he/him and she/her are appropriate.
When I reflect on my own gender, I can sense it rapidly moving around, sometimes tending to the "straight / male / man" side and sometimes to the "gay / female / woman" side. Often a combination of the two.
Emory's Caroline Fohlin is knocked down by the police while shouting: “I’m a professor!!” Hear the disbelief in her voice. She never expected to be treated like this by her own university for protesting Israel's slaughter.
But remember, democracy is on the ballot in Nov...
