@thetimmorgan Both can be true. It is crazy. Model quality converges faster than anything Ive ever seen. No lock in and plenty of open source options. No way Anthropic takes everything.
@t_blom So you think it sees all the complex business logic, replicates it AND people will trust it not make loads of errors? Yeah I’ll have the other side please.
@gregisenberg Great summary, but I don’t think it really addresses the point that the hard and valuable bit is the business logic. Companies have been attempting to build their own CRM software for years and it nearly always fails because they don’t actually know what they want.
I believe there are currently two key skillsets needed in software businesses.
1. Building relationships with customers / potential customers / partners.
2. Building software heavily utilising AI tools.
For both you need the empathy and intelligence to understand the customer’s core problems.
The best can design great solutions, but this is incredibly difficult.
You need to at least have the ability to understand the value of that solution and communicate it effectively.
Everything that needs to be done can be easily handled by people who have at least one of the two.
Tell me I’m wrong.
@jasonlk@PeterJ_Walker I was 100% certain that I would not lose a cofounder by year 4 and I turned out to be correct. Investors often aren’t keen on my methods despite these stats 🤷♂️
@Mqsley Is the “UK is 10-15 years behind US” statement back by any data? I’d be interested to read about that.
Of course it happens but we don’t generally have issues with people dying not being able to heat their homes as the state will support. It’s also not that cold.
