@thepatwalls I’m building LimeAssist, a quick simple way to setup custom agents. Mostly using it for market research, information dumps and reporting.

I built a Django job board which you can see here:
As a small project I used the django-strawberry package. It was quite fun and easy to learn.

I've been working on a new written Django tutorial. Releasing it tomorrow. Definitely will be the longest, most comprehensive written tutorial I've ever done.
Working on a new chat app for https://t.co/F1quMIIjYP
This is going to save me $279/mo.
Instead of outsourcing chat functionality to a third party, I'm just handling it in the existing Django backend with Django Channels.
Happy with the progress so far 👍
@lfreiredev Lately I've only started work at 12PM. All the time before that is to get all the daily tasks out of the way. After I wake up:
1. Coffee
2. Practice Portuguese
3. Exercise
4. Calls and meetings
My new project - The Independent Dev - is now live. I'm building a marketplace of vetted and professional Django developers.

Lots of work still to be done, but happy to get it out there. DM me if you'd like to join the platform as a freelancer!
@SimonHoiberg My wife and I left South Africa to move to Portugal.
- safer
- low taxes (for foreigners)
- functioning services
- clean
So many improvements in quality of life.

Build a Developer Marketplace with NextJS and the Django Rest Framework: In the course you learn how to integrate NextJS with DRF and build a platform to find and pay freelance developers.
My latest course is over 8 hours long and shows every step to build a developer marketplace. There's still a lot left to do but will be soft launching it soon!
The project I’m building is being recorded as a course so that people who are learning Django can get an idea of how I build a product from scratch. Both the project and course will be available on 10 March 🚀
You should receive your payouts without paying ridiculous % fees to the platform.
Of course, the platform needs to make money but I believe there are some other ways to monetize the project.

All of the side projects I’ve been motivated to work on are things that add value to my own life. Meaning I am my own customer. For this new project, it’s the same.
As someone who’s worked as a freelancer, here are some of the ways I want this project to add value:
If I’m receiving payments in fiat currencies the platform should act as an intermediary that ensures payment from the client and protects both participants from bad practice.
The same could apply to crypto payments but there’s still a lot to figure out there.
