@vitaro_ssj@lelmkb @missdarnyl @needatwunk western? no, not solely at least. plenty of other cultures, especially older ones showcase homophobia in their traditions
@vitaro_ssj@lelmkb @missdarnyl @needatwunk that’s not semantics, were arguing different things. european colonialism brought christianity (like missions) to much of Africa as well as their own languages, etc.
the OP argued that homophobia was largely a western concept that was not shared by pre-colonial subsaharan beliefs
@vitaro_ssj@lelmkb @missdarnyl @needatwunk again it was in isolated areas… not the whole of africa. certainly not in Senegal. Europeans brought it to South, Central, and West Africa
@vitaro_ssj@lelmkb @missdarnyl @needatwunk in isolated area… whic is what i just said. it was limited to the Maghreb and the nile basin/horn. west africa was exposed to islam and bantu religions
@vitaro_ssj@lelmkb @missdarnyl @needatwunk they did, West Africa and essentially everywhere but Ethiopia an the nile basin had very little exposure to christianity prior to European arrival. A country like Ghana or Rwanda likely had little to no knowledge of christianity. Kongo for example converted for the Portuguese
@MrPitbull07 This could cost the server money. The server likely tipped out the bussers, host, bar, etc 5-10% of the total sales of the check. A $500 check, she likely had to pay $25-$50 regardless of whatever the tip was.
It depends on the restaurant, but she likely had to PAY to serve you
@massrepublican@Clacker25548138@tufpraise as someone who has worked takeout. we get paid the same minimum wage as the servers, bartenders, hosts, etc
and it definitely depends on the location but for my location takeout oftentimes was more difficult than serving at times and we would do 2k in sales and make $10
@fanatic513 @MoRings42@onNam14@Ravenismeee@BellaBaddie__ i’m only arguing semantics cuz this dude thinks ice is water even in the context of drinks.. but my point still stands ice is not water in every sense
@skyferrori lowkey it wouldve been interesting to have them be season 1, then ilya and shane the next 2 seasons. instead of their story being scrunched into 1 episode
@genzalternative lily tino, at least in my opinion is a setup for trans people. she rude and has disrespectful and sometimes creepy behavior. seems like she is an example transphobes want to set for trans ppl
@TaiKurNamai I think the main reason for these returns is that the EBU wants the 70th to be a grand contest. These 3 can’t replace the 4-6 threatening withdrawal
