Here's another example. Put aside his years fighting the Taliban alongside Americans. He's an asylum applicant. He's followed the law. His asylum claim - which sounds pretty strong to me, as the Taliban wants to kill him - hasn't yet been adjudicated. As far as we know, he's committed no crimes.
