@HomeLoanBill@UziCryptoo What’s the best way to grill an endsmeat anyway? I usually like to marinade and let sit for 3 to 4 hours, bring to room temperature, then go high heat and char. Anyone?
@RogaineTrader@LoganMohtashami So much fun working on the exchange floor back in the day to see locals try and find the stops and then once found, just run the shit out of em lol
After many conversations over past year with friends, business associates & policymakers about the future of AI job disruption, I’ve tried to get my thoughts in order. With the caveat that I have no specific AI expertise, here they are. Comments and corrections encouraged.🧵

MONDAY MORNING MARKET UPDATE: 6.01.2026
Buffett bets on housing, It Takes a Village, People
Warren Buffett is one of the best-known investors in the world. According to Forbes as of January 2026, Buffett's estimated net worth stood at $148.9 Billion, making him the 9th richest person in the world.
When Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway group makes a bet, the odds of that bet becoming a loser are pretty tiny. Yes, rich guys make mistakes, but this is a noteworthy topic.
We don't know the real reason behind the purchase - does the BH team think that housing is a longer term win? Do they use the purchase as a way to enter another industry? Will they start building a ton of YMCA's? Really tough to tell.
If you remember previously this year there were big purchases of home builders made by Japanese corporations to help diversify their portfolio and to get exposure to a different demographic - there does seem to be something in the water.
It takes a Village, People. If you remember that adage, "it takes a village", this was a rallying cry for community. It takes a village to raise a child. But what if there's no village? Is it possible we truly do have an inventory shortage?
You gotta think that these Japanese firms and Warren Buffett see some kind of opportunity in home building. If this sounds off brand for your neighborhood or if you have a listing that hasn't sold, remember - housing is local. Meaning, just because we have a national shortage of homes doesn't mean there's a shortage near you.
@jasonc_nc@AdamKwasman Quick check of his profile tells you all you need to know. If you hold public office in Scottsdale, I’d bet 70% of your constituency are senior citizens.
Interesting thought - is that fact (the economy is great for asset holders) a derivative of fiscal policy, market reacting to demand drivers, innovation, or something else? Asset holders have always been wealth generators vs non-asset holders (call it, employers vs employees?), but why has the gulf widened at a near geometric rate? What was the driver?
