This is why I support the #DoctorsStrike And last year over 7,000 doctors left the UK for better paid jobs overseas. If you want to save the NHS, you too should support the strike.
Today 350 anaesthetists, trained purely in anaesthesia for the last 3 years, were turned down for the next stage of anaesthetics training in the UK. This is despite @RCoANews stating there is a "current shortage of 1400 anaesthetists in the UK"...🧵
I'm a miserable person, so when I'm in Greggs, if It's busy I'll always buy all the remaining steak bakes or sausage rolls knowing people behind me would have wanted them. I bought 6 steak bakes 2 days ago and watched people waiting for 20 mins while I sat in my car eating them.
A snapshot of UK doctor numbers in a single department, in a single hospital, in Australia.

I have Chats tickets for 20th May in Manchester. Is there any way to transfer these for the Glasgow date the next day? I am in Glasgow - didn’t see the Glasgow date! Booked Manchester ages ago.
Thanks.
The junior doctors operating on your appendix are paid just £66.55 between them. For a potentially life-saving procedure, which lasts about an hour.
Is this a fair price to put on high quality healthcare?

If you wonder if it’s worth paying BMA rate card rates for a consultant to be in, at 3am, outside their contract, on their time off, keeping you alive on ITU, during surgery, labour & then you find Matt Hancock wants £1500/hr or £10,000/day https://t.co/SgyLjVEfgw
