Meshtastic assumes no central authority, no "keystore in the sky" that can be the central source of trust. Its peer to peer, off grid nature kinda requires that there is a natural flaw in the trust model. Its not a bad thing.

[AMHERST POLICE, NY] -- On May 7, 1966, Officer Earl H. Jerge of the Amherst Police Department suffered a stroke while on patrol at University Plaza. He was immediately transported to E. J. Meyer Memorial Hospital, where he sadly passed away on May 10, 1966.

Officer Jerge was a proud U.S. Air Force veteran who served with distinction during World War II, earning several commendations, including the Purple Heart. He dedicated 10 years of honorable service to the Amherst Police Department.

Today, and every day, we honor the memory and sacrifice of Officer Earl H. Jerge. His commitment to duty and service to both his country and community will never be forgotten.

@nostalnerd This was my first computer and I loved it. That little box created my career. It came with a spiral card book with 10 basic programs that I spent countless evening reentering over and over... and then modding to see what happens.

@TheNotARubicon I wish as a county (of prepared citizens) we focused on 2 directions. #1, remove the need for HAM licensing. Licensing is irrelevant. The Airwaves are empty. #2 Promote the installation of GMRS repeaters everywhere. In a pinch, we don't need to talk to Europe, just one another.
