@CroakiestGuilt@coaiecrete@Nairpic16 Right, so you can be fined for driving in an unsafe manner, but there's no minimum speed, as I had originally written.

@CroakiestGuilt@coaiecrete@Nairpic16 Right, that's the same type of requirement I was describing that is set at 60kmh in Austria, which describes a minimum speed that the vehicle can theoretically achieve to be allowed on motorways. It's not a minimum driving speed though.
@tobias_austria@coaiecrete@Nairpic16 Which was the point I was making, motorways "everywhere in Europe" do not have an enforced or numerically defined minimum speed.
@TheCzolgu@coaiecrete@Nairpic16 Driving slowly on highways is punishable as it is unsafe driving, I would hardly consider that a "minimum speed" in any meaningful way though if the number changes depending on conditions. Austrian signage standards include a minimum speed sign, but it's almost never used.
@DogGunn@coaiecrete@Nairpic16 That sign is not present on Austrian highways as a rule though, so it certainly isn't "everywhere". I can't remember ever having seen a minimum speed sign in real life.
@tobias_austria@coaiecrete@Nairpic16 The second sentence you wrote is true (and what i wrote in the tweet you're replying to), the first is not. The 60 km/h is a minimum design speed (Bauartgeschwindigkeit) for the vehicle to be allowed on highways, that doesn't mean there's a 60 km/h minimum speed.
@coaiecrete@Nairpic16 Which ones? Austria certainly doesn't have a minimum speed, haven't heard of one in Germany or NL either. There's only a minimum speed that the vehicle should be able to achieve according to manufacturer specification (60 km/h), it's not a minimum driving speed though.
