My fellow Americans, tonight I stand before you to report that under my leadership, measles is back like never before. Some people are saying they’ve never seen measles like this.
They said measles was gone, folks. The experts, the so‑called experts, they said it was eliminated. But not on my watch. We brought it back, and we brought it back strong.
We had sleepy measles, failing measles. Now we have winning measles. Very powerful numbers, incredible numbers, record numbers, quite frankly.
They have known measles for many, many years; it’s not something new, believe me, but nobody has made measles respected again like we have.
Some people call it a problem. I call it a tremendous opportunity. The fake news won’t tell you this, but measles is hot again. Measles is respected again. We did that.
It’s important that you understand what happened last night.
Last night, Stephen Colbert interviewed Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, a candidate who, by all accounts, is on track in the polls to flip Texas blue.
In response, Trump’s FCC reportedly threatened CBS if the interview aired.
CBS caved and pulled the segment, citing “financial reasons.”
In modern American history, no president has been more hostile to free speech than Donald Trump.
But censorship always backfires.
Here’s the full segment Trump didn’t want you to see.
I increasingly think the Democrats need an insurgent economic populist to take over, the way Trump took over the Republican party.
Here's a possible candidate: Erica Payne, CEO of @PatrioticMills. I've rarely seen someone fight for working people with this much fire and authenticity.
Put a social media team like Mamdani's around her and I'd be VERY curious to see what would happen. This is her recently at the IMF.
Time for another Truth Matters Musical Moment. Never Stop Asking delivers another foot tappin’ musical gem.
Let’s learn about Pam Bondi
I’m really likin’ this learnin’ with music. What do you think?

A video of a young boy telling his mom about anti-immigrant harassment he faced while playing soccer has gone viral. CBS News spoke with the mother who filmed her son, Max, as he cried about the bullying he faced. She said she did not post the video to create controversy, but instead to remind people "how deeply our words and actions can effect one another, especially our children."
In the video, the boy says another child told he was an illegal immigrant and that he should go back to his country, despite the fact he was born in America.
Five stories from just the last 24 hours:
1. Minnesota police chief says ICE has been unconstitutionally stopping & pulling guns on *his own* off-duty officers who are brown/black.
2. The Social Security Administration referred two DOGE employees for Hatch Act violations after discovering contacts with a political group seeking SSA data to overturn election results.
3. Canada struck a historic trade deal with China, declaring them more "predictable" than the U.S., then its PM warned of a rupture with the U.S. and the "end of the rules-based international order."
4. Trump quietly pardoned a slew of more white collar criminals, almost all of whom were convicted of fraud.
5. NYTimes released an editorial documenting how Trump has made $1.4 billion (with a "b") dollars off the presidency in his first year in office -- just on the publicly documented trades and transactions.
That's legitimately 24 hours of news, and it's just scratching the surface.
This is our parody of "Piece of My Heart" by the amazing Erma Franklin. Our version addresses the current situation unfolding with #Trump and #Greenland, and has rude words - it's called "Piece of Denmark". In solidarity with all fellow Europeans facing tariffs and trauma. #25th
@dosco@rupasubramanya@MarkJCarney Again, check out that website. The reality is a bit more nuanced than "The States payed for everything." But it sounds nice, sure 🤷
@dosco@rupasubramanya@MarkJCarney In that case, as this website shows, you can rest assured that you have squandered your own chances and not necessarily wasted your neighbors' money. 😂
@dosco@rupasubramanya@MarkJCarney This page explains the history from 1945 onwards and uses clear graphs to show how the US also benefited from globalisation, the dollar as global currency and American soft power. https://t.co/liI2fOMaeg
Amazing moment on French TV. A French judge explains how Trump sent people from the US Embassy basically trying to intimidate her during Le Pen's trial for embezzlement - something they've done to other judges around the world
