@stuartbruce Because the @UKLabour manifesto promised 1.5m ‘new’ homes not to make the process of buying ‘all’ homes more functional/affordable. The only way to deliver the number (zero chance) is to encourage the volume builders.
@sheffieldtrib Blocks of this height are close to unregulated and are only unsafe in exceptional circumstances (according to @mhclg) both positions indefensible. @SamanthaDixonMP
@housing_today@SimonDudleyUK We definitely need to discuss the effectiveness of post Grenfell regulatory reforms and the new regulator but not in the crass and reductive manner of Mr Dudley. Pleased to see he has been relieved of his duties.
Gone! - we definitely need to discuss the effectiveness of post Grenfell regulatory reforms and the new regulator but not in the crass and reductive manner of Mr Dudley.
Just caught up with yesterdays @mhclg select committee where @michaelgove and @AngelaRayner gave a masterclass in their joint lack of understanding of multi occupancy residential property management/investment. 10/10 for playing to the crowd.
The ex Ministers rhetoric was long on bluster ‘money for nothing’ ‘vested interests’ but exceptionally short on technical detail. The committee were similarly amateur in their questioning.
