We don't really control anything except our own perspective. And at any given moment that illusion could be shattered. So I do a couple mental exercises pretty regularly to try to make sure my happiness isn't built on anything or one. I try to surrender. And I try to let go.

I've quit playing shows indefinitely. I love to play live but it doesn't define me anymore. I've healed a lot and found a sense of self deeper than what I do. I’ll play out again but when I do, it will be very intentional- mostly original music and all about connection.

I brought this outfit to a shoot with Wild Awake because of my ego. Because I wanted to do something with the chef’s coat and knife roll that would make me look cool and impressive. Not empowered or truly masculine. After acknowledging that, this shot seemed pretty pointless!😂
