Paul Graham's "How to Do Great Work" is my favorite essay, so I turned it into a tool that gets you working. Type in what you can't stop thinking about, and it gives you 3 projects plus what to do first on each.

Hopefully not! Still, there’s a great reason to learn and master software design through comparable services. Even with AI, creating a big, complex app needs plenty of planning up front.
You really learn a lot about experience and thought process asking questions in an interview like “Can you design an app like Uber to request a ride somewhere?” Hopefully, interview questions like that don’t go away any time soon.
@bandholz Yup. Everyone needs to find their edge with new tools. It’s basically the same as people who took it one step farther and learned to build macros in excel. Use AI to do something more complex that gives you an edge at your job
I canceled my news subscriptions.
I had grok bot customize a news briefing for me. No connections or plug-ins needed. It set up an email account to send from and delivers the briefing to me every morning. Love it.
IKEA manuals, but they come to life.
I built the real BILLY instructions in 3D, so you can watch every step happen exactly as drawn. try it: https://t.co/BqCpNrpeIi
@brenelz I always choose and that’s part of my design process. And I always try to pick from stacks I’m most familiar with and battle tested so as I create skills for testing, they are reusable and I can keep improving them
absolutely. i think its shifting to becoming an expert with these new ai solutions at your job. just as there previously were masters who you'd reach out to for help with excel, or sql, or whoever could write a python script.
the tools keeps changing. what's different is the ceiling. the excel master could hand you a better spreadsheet. this one lets one person take on workflows that used to need a whole team.

@theo Also could just stick with supabase and use Debzium to CDC to a OLAP database clickhouse. Postgres is not meant for complex analytics. If you want to do analytics use an OLAP database
