If you work in tech, saying the entire industry sucks is a bit odd when you make > 100k a year working a dream job. It might not be great due to $reasons, but it's up to you to improve what you can touch or leave for greener pastures. Complaining with no action is equally as bad.
ME: "I'll bet spawning CLI processes in Electron and streaming the output to a <pre> tag, while maintaining the CLI's color, formatting, etc will be tricky"
Later: "Oh hey that was easy"
Me: "I'll bet Flexbox will make this cool layout I want to do easy"
Later: "What the fuck"
The Department of Defense has never been audited, yet federal rules require me to keep track of how many little bags of apple slices I give out each morning to my students living in poverty.
Someone was recently telling me they were a "Code Ninja". I don't want to work with a Ninja, they leave a bloody mess. I want to work with a "Code Janitor". Comes in the middle of the night, cleans things up, you only know they were there because everything is organized and tidy.
