As usual, Suzanne brings the positive vibe.
Listen. Learn. Put into practice.
Favorite line from this episode:
“Change the trajectory.”
Yes, this I can do.
This I will do.
Yesterday I started following Tim Urban @waitbutwhy
Last night I started The Psychology of Money by @morganhousel
Two sharp dudes.
Two unrelated events.
Both referenced this Bernie Madoff story.
Message to not so sharp dude (me) ...
This Thanksgiving be grateful, not greedy.
Here is a flipbook animation by @CBSouthHS art student Adam S. He based it off a bowling clip he saw and added the original audio to the video version of his flipbook. @CBSDart I love how his drawing style gives it so much character #SouthSide
Sincere thanks to the @DTownRotary, @CBSDSchools community, and all those who have supported me, guided me, and inspired me on this journey.
And thank you for all of the comments, texts, and emails.
So great to hear from so many.
@CBSouthHS
Congratulations to Mr. Pecic for being named the Education Award Recipient of the Doylestown Rotary Club’s 4 Way Test Award. CB South is proud! @CBSDSchools @MattPecic
Today ...
Met with 4 classes about nonfiction books,
Had my first book club of the year (reading The Nickel Boys),
And learned how to play Among Us with my Titan Forum.
100% virtual.
We laughed and we learned.
Today was good.
This or That Game
College Research Edition @CBSouthHS
Only three lopsided answers:
1.In-state over Out-of-state
2.SAT over ACT
3.Dogs over Cats
Too close to call:
1. Math/Sci or English/Humanities
2.Big School or Lil’ School
3.Ketchup or Mustard
Non-traditional librarian talk today @CBSouthHS ...
Juggling and card tricks with Mrs. Riley’s class,
both our “studio audience” (in-person students) and “our viewers at home” (virtual students) were actively engaged.
Life is good when school is fun.

Teaching 2020 @CBSouthHS ...
Mrs. Malick, classroom teacher, on screen
Mrs. Foladare, TA, monitoring and assisting in class
Me, giving library talk, in class
Hybrid 1 students in-person
Other students participating virtually on screen
Teamwork and technology @CBSDSchools
Met with Ms. Reisinger’s 10th grade classes yesterday for first in-person book talks of the year @CBSouthHS
Virtual and video book talks work, but there is nothing like being in front of a room full (or even half full) of students ...
This I missed most.
When your principal makes decisions that are “thoughtful and compassionate” and based on what is “best for students and staff” you know you are in the right place.
I am in the right place @CBSouthHS
Thanks Mr. Bucher and @jmopdyke for your support, in your words and your actions.
The unsung heroes of our schools!!
Too often ...
Underappreciated
Undervalued
Underpaid
Yet, always there for our students, our teachers, and our administrators.
Much love and appreciation for all you do.
The first day of school is the first day of school.
No matter the date.
No matter the reason.
No matter what.
Was up at 3:10 this morning
Wide awake
Thinking about the day
Anxious
Excited
Eager
The students will be in the building ... and man did I miss them!
Met with a few young teachers this week. Great to see them getting educated on their finances.
Sent one a copy of the book that made it happen for me. Wish I had this info when I was in my 20’s (or even 30’s), but it is never too late to start.
Thanks @teachretirerich
