Ron makes a great point: if you feel you can't report Trump critically now because you are too afraid, it is best you resign. You are compromised. Now is the time where reporters must be unapologetic. Do not let Trump scare you into submission. Do not obey in advance.
@Roshan_Rinaldi I guess it's condescending for Libs to post this sort of information. You could sort of see why it would make people in the heartland vote Red.
46 years ago today Peoples Temple founder Jim Jones led hundreds of his followers in a mass murder-suicide. Two weeks ago tomorrow former President Donald Trump led millions of his followers to reinstall him as president. It’s up to all of us to prevent his presidency from echoing that disaster.
"While pundits have busied themselves over the past 10 days nitpicking Kamala Harris’s campaign, one thing is abundantly clear: She was held to the highest standards of leadership while Trump was held to no standard at all." https://t.co/GA8fc8mX16
Yes. It’s cheap and easy to make yourself look savvy and collected by calling vigilant people hysterical, but zoom out and it’s obvious who’s more credible. Things have gotten so much more fucked up than almost anyone anticipated, particularly the “calm down” people.
a 20 tweet thread that doesn't mention her dad, posted on same day all of her other siblings were campaigning and literally on the stage with him 🤔
this would be less weird if Ivanka didn't seem like the child her dad was trying hardest to groom for a public role
I always think of this 1991 op-ed by Mitch McConnell about a bill that would've setup voter registration at DMVs.
McConnell whined "How easy should voting be?" and argued more accessible voting wouldn't be fair because "even political couch potatoes will roll out and vote."
Former Trump WH aide @Alyssafarah: “For the first time in my life, I voted for a Democrat. I voted for Kamala Harris…I’m a Christian, American, and Republican in that order, and I need somebody who shares my values”
If Trump wins, Harris supporters must accept his victory peacefully and without rancor. And if Harris wins, Harris supporters must be understanding about Trump supporters’ violence and rioting.
