Dylan Cook……you gave these coaches some hard choices to make. You definitely earned another start. Another performance like last night, you may earn another contract! Outstanding work last night!
#HereWeGo
Hats off to LT Dylan Cook.
- Former college QB
- Undrafted
- Spent years on practice squad, hurt in part of 2024
- First start tonight
And played a great game. #Steelers
In his first career start, Dylan Cook did not allow a single pressure on 30 pass blocks at left tackle against the Dolphins. Cook faced Bradley Chubb on 18 matchups, Chubb's most pass rushes against a blocker without generating pressure in any game since 2018. per @NextGenStats. #Steelers #NFL
In honor of Labor Day, I asked Bengals center and NFLPA vice president Ted Karras if he could make one change.
His reponse: Make two years of being on the practice squad equal one year of service time toward a player's pension.
Press-box announcement: Hunter Henry with 8 receptions for 109 yards, with the yardage representing a career high.
His second career 100-yard receiving game.
The relationship I have with my dad nowadays is a lot different than it used to be.
He was hard on all of us growing up.
A tough-nosed, blue collar dad that pushed us to be successful in sports with very little room to show much emotion.
A lot of my connection & love with him came from success on the field, achieving a new PR in the weight room, or promising news about my future in football.
Now that I’m older with a family of my own - you can feel how much every moment means to him. He tells me how proud he is (more than he’s ever expressed in my lifetime), he does his best to articulate what’s on his mind with more emotion and depth than he’s ever shown, and even though we don’t see each other as much as we used to - I feel closer to him than I ever have.
I know with absolute certainty my dad has loved me to the best of his ability.
I also know by our relationship & conversations now that he’d love to do it all over again and show that a little bit better.
(Lol low key I’m saying my dad didn’t love me enough as a kid and THANK GOD I played in the NFL so he can finally be proud of me)
But seriously - the lessons for myself as a father comes from the examples of my dad doing his best.
Both good and bad.
Seeing the sacrifices my parents made to put every dollar toward camps, coaching, and tournaments so I could have the opportunity to be where I am.
The responsibilities & pressure he put on himself to make sure we felt like we had enough at home.
And seeing him cherish and love on us the way he does now - it’s teaching me that we don’t get to do this thing again. That every moment is precious.
Thank you for everything you’ve taught me, dad @DukeofBT.
The sacrifice, responsibility, and love are values & examples I will set as a father because I know she will be watching and observing the same way I did.
Happy Father’s Day.
A true home run threat in both 🏈 and ⚾️!
Nearly 3,000 totals yards
40 TDs (17 pass, 21 rush, 1 REC, 1 Pick Six)
Avg 9.4 yards per carry
ONE OF THE BEST TO EVER DO IT.
