@Braden_Keith I think if Matt gets on with his coach, enjoys the programme and is motivated to try to be the best he can be then, like any other swimmer, he'll achieve everything his talent allows. I'm proud that Matt swam in my home town, he joins a list of great swimmers to have done so
@jburnmurdoch@alexmaccaroon Aviation fuel is exempt from duty. Airlines would fill up elsewhere. But we pay 52p per l duty on petrol so 1hr drive in a fiesta at 51mph nets HMRC £2.36. A 737 carries 189 passengers, burns 3410l per hr. Each passenger's share of equivalent duty on fuel would be £9.38 per hr.
@DeborahMeaden Just in time supply chains are complex. Local demand has outstripped supply. Perhaps the pressures on cost of living are forcing folks to ditch prepared food/ takeaways in favour of fresh, switching retailers for better deals and buying bulk on payday.
@NoContextBrits@YouGov Proper Black Country faggots and grey pays I'd eat every day of the week, so underrated. Also, why aren't battered chips even on the list?
@purpletrader1 @unusual_whales It's probably a weight issue the batteries in my Leaf are already 300kg, add an engine and all the bits it'd be like carrying two passengers everywhere. Real world experience: carrying extra weight kills range. I think there's a few companies developing lightweight engines though
@MarkFosterSwim Should be reformatted as a five day celebration of the year in British sport, with, at very least showing: All medalists in all sports at Euro, World and Olympic level, successes of our national teams, the wider sporting world and culminating in personal success stories.
@richardosman At home every sneeze I do has to be unique, it's just a little game I play. Not just unique that chain of sneezes or that day, of all time, ever.
@sharrond62 Change tends to be incremental, this is incremental change. It favours those campaigning against inclusion, especially those who recognise a biological competitive advantage and understand that this may present in many forms. On first read this strikes me as a balanced response.
@StephenKing My Nan used to have a machine that compressed several end of bars into a brand new one. I used to love the feel of the sharp edges of the old bars as I turned it in my hands. Now I mix the remnants of shower gel bottles to make unique flavours
@ElkSlayerMcLeod@sharrond62 I've considered the fact that we've always categorised in sports to ensure fair competition and where there is unfair competition a rule change is triggered by petitioning members. This process is slow and overly bureaucratic. Rules become outdated.
@jinxyboy1 @sharrond62 Dictionaries are for definitions "public speech that expresses hate or encourages violence towards a person or group based on something such as race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation"
@MsSarahPaulson Astonish Stain Remover. Nothing that stuff won't shift. Put it on, rub it in every direction get it right into the fibres, do your best to get it off or it'll just stain in again and then let it dry. Repeat if necessary.
@Moonismine1 @EmmaKennedy Not insurmountable but certainly a deterrent. Depends how motivated the spoof voters are. Fairly straightforward to access a pool of virtual phone numbers that convert SMS to email.
@EmmaKennedy With app voting it's not beyond the realms of possibility that someone could have a robotic process automation setup to keep him in. You've only got to cast enough votes to ensure he's not bottom two. What controls do ITV have in place to protect against this? None probably
@kylesockwell Just add a bungee cord, underwater cameras and mirror and it's a 7.8 if the sun rises through those side windows during morning practice. Mandatory deduction for no deck level.
@MartinSLewis MIRAS is the old school method, mortgage interest rate relief at source. You get 20% relief on the interest part of your mortgage which effectively means you pay mortgage interest gross on your pay rather than net
