The Director of the UN's New York office just resigned after thirty years at the organisation over the UN's handling of the ongoing genocide of Palestinians.
The entirety of his resignation letter is a necessary read but this first page blew me away.
In solidarity with @partisosialis activists who are being arrested & brutally treated by PTG officers in trying to save Perak farmers. The farmers were there for decades. Dr Jeyakumar was trying hard to push to publicise for Food Security for the Country.
After years moving through the policy-process, the Anti-Stalking law was passed in the Dewan Rakyat today.
This law will help survivors get legal protection & prevent stalking from escalating to further harm.
My brief commentary on the Dewan Rakyat debate👇#MakeStalkingACrime
1. Siti Nuramira's act was stupid and distasteful but she should not be charged. Except under very limited circumstances of inciting discrimination, hate and violence, no one should face criminal punishment for exercising their freedom of speech, appalling as it may be.
Like others, I take issue with how the Chairman has handled the debates over some of the motions at #AGM. He was defensive and combative, interrupted members who were speaking, and also confusing what some of these motions actually purported to do.

Ok I am sharing what we’re doing at @LexisNexisMY in light of the recent developments. No.1 - all employees are working from home until 31st March 2021 or until told otherwise.
In this profession, we learn not only from lawyers senior to us, but lawyers less experienced, in fact, everyone. This happens all the time. So don't bother going to these senior lawyers, there are many more good ones out there.
The Bar Council elections have begun.
Many issues at stake: proportionality of representation within BC, lack of leadership on national issues & today's challenging climate for legal practice.
The BC needs a dynamic progressive leadership - I have faith in the STAR Team.
Was at the Court of Appeal recently. Observed this strong opposition to an extension of time application. Notice of appeal couldn’t be served in time due to the lockdown earlier. If your client instructs you to object that strongly, what would you as the lawyer do? (1/6)
