@bogiperson I recently reread William Sleator's Others See Us which I was fascinated with as a kid (swamp water gives you psychic powers! extremely psychic and morally ambiguous grandma! weird protagonist has a crush on his cousin subplot!) and enjoyed it, but not sure how much is nostalgia
