@AfroFranco2 One thing I did as chair that got positive feedback was start some meetings with a teacher doing a short demo lesson of an activity from class.
Read the bee simile in Aeneid 1 today. When I asked students what this suggested about the Carthaginians, one immediately said they won’t live for long, like bees. Someone must have made this point before, but I had never heard it.
My 6.5 month old daughter has had a great run of Philly sports in her short lifetime:
-Never seen the Phillies miss the postseason
-Never seen the Eagles lose
-Never seen Ben Simmons in a Sixers jersey
-Never seen the Flyers
Had some fun with DALL-E in class yesterday. Read description of natural harbor in Libya at Aeneid 1.159-170. Students drew an image on the board. Then we put the info into DALL-E to see what it gave us. Here were the two favorites.
